Moving into late 2018 thru early 2019 was just that - Moving. Kids, grand kids and the siren song of North Carolina finally got me to pull up stakes and studio and head to the greenest state I've ever encountered. It's as if all things of human activity were dropped into a forest. NC has more trees and vegetation surrounding homes, towns and cities than I ever imagined....which is about right for me now as I was living right between Dallas and Fort Worth, TX which made me think that the state symbol should be concrete.
Did a self move and it wasn't for the faint of heart. Took seven months of packing household, studio, artwork and two 1,300 mile truck trips to get everything to my new digs in a little slice of heaven with a population of only 11,000 people. Its a semi rural area just outside of Greensboro and close enough to that city for everything I need.
Since May I've been unpacking, setting up household, studio and just getting the lay of the land. BJ the Wonder Dog is in hound heaven here with room to run and roam.
The studio itself is much larger than before with a bank of windows that fill the place with natural light. Living area is larger than before so everything is a bump up from what I had before.....so that's the story of my disappearance from the DFW scene and now I've just got to get behind the easel and continue on doing what I love best.
